Meet Dr. Craig Bartelt

Elizabethtown Chiropractor Dr Craig Bartelt

Dr. Craig Bartelt, D.C.

Dr. Bartelt graduated from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He completed his undergraduate education in Psychology, Pre-Med and Military Science at the University of Central Florida.

Dr. Bartelt served as a Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army, and is the only practicing veteran chiropractor in Elizabethtown.

Proof That Chiropractic Works

In high school, Dr. Bartelt was active on the weight lifting team and trained in Martial Arts in college. Back in the 80s a friend gave him the crazy idea that he should compete in the local Bad Man Competition because there was a $10,000 prize. As a young college student this sounded like a great idea!

While training he began having lower back pain and could barely walk. He sought medical attention and was given pain medication and told to stay lying down to “heal.” Of course this only made matters worse. Dr. Bartelt had an important social event coming up, yet he was still in severe low back and leg pain, so on the advice of a friend decided to give chiropractic care a try.

Chiropractic worked! Dr. Bartelt saw dramatic improvement after just the first visit, and was able to walk without pain when he left the office. It took only three treatments to help him get totally out of pain and on the way to healing. He was so impressed with the success of the Chiropratic Treatment he had received, it made such a lasting, and long term impression on him that it actually helped determine his future career choice.

Why Chiropractic

While on active duty as a United States Army Officer Dr. Bartelt saw many soldiers with injuries receive nothing more than an extra large bottle of pain relievers to relieve their pain for various musculskeletal injuries like neck, shoulder, back and sciatic pain and other conditions. After his boss’s back was injured, Dr. Bartelt encouraged him to seek Chiropractic Care, and it was a success.

When Dr. Bartelt left the active Army he knew that Palmer College of Chiropractic was his next step. Though this was no easy task as Dr. Bartelt and his wife were raising three children with number four on the way. Simultaneously, while attending his Ph.D program at Palmer he was also serving in the National Guard at the time.
